SPAI captures, validates, and delivers retirement plan data across the systems your firm already uses.
About SinglepointAI
What SPAI is
What is SinglepointAI?+
SinglepointAI (SPAI) is the data infrastructure layer for retirement plan administration — a secure, API-driven orchestration and data layer that sits above the systems TPAs, recordkeepers, and document providers already use, rather than replacing them. It automates onboarding, data delivery, and restatement (Cycle 4 / SECURE Act 2.0).
Who is SPAI built for?+
SPAI serves the three primary groups that run retirement plan administration, plus the enterprise platforms that serve them:
- TPAs — modernize operations and add plan capacity without adding headcount.
- Recordkeepers — shorten onboarding, reduce cost, and receive cleaner, standardized data.
- Document providers — reduce manual re-keying with validated, structured data at intake.
- Platforms (e.g. FIS, SS&C) — extend automation to the TPAs and recordkeepers they already serve, without building AI in-house.
Broker-dealers, advisors, and plan sponsors interact with plans built on SinglepointAI, but they are not a direct implementation channel today.
What problem does SPAI actually solve?+
Retirement plan administration today is built on fragmented, manual workflows: 90–120 day onboarding cycles, no standardized data hub between TPAs, document providers, and recordkeepers, and plan data that's frequently NIGO (Not In Good Order) — incomplete, incorrect, or non-compliant. Operations scale linearly with plan volume, which puts a hard ceiling on growth without adding headcount. SPAI removes that ceiling.
Product & how it works
Use cases and oversight
What are SPAI's core use cases?+
Three, today:
- Onboarding automation — capture, validate, and standardize incoming plan data.
- Data transfer & delivery — move clean, validated data across systems without manual re-keying.
- Restatement automation — Cycle 4 / SECURE Act 2.0 amendment and restatement workflows.
What is AskSPIA?+
AskSPIA is SinglepointAI's plan-data agent. It gives instant analysis and report generation without navigating multiple screens, and answers context-aware questions on plan design and compliance. It operates in an isolated Azure environment with no internet access, supports only retirement-plan-related interactions, and enforces strict tenant-level data isolation.
Does automation mean SPAI makes compliance or plan decisions on its own?+
No. Every automated workflow is human-in-the-loop by design — an initiator-approver structure with exception review and a full audit trail, not unchecked AI decision-making. Automation removes the manual re-keying and busywork; qualified staff still review and approve.
API-first strategy & connections
Integrations
Is SPAI really API-first, or does it require a system change?+
It's API-first by design. SPAI's AI-powered platform integrates with the systems firms already have in place, adding intelligence and automation without requiring the replacement of existing technology or migration away from recordkeeping and document systems they've already invested in.
How easy is it to connect our systems to SPAI?+
Connection happens at the API layer, which is the point of building this way — a single validated integration is what makes a partner's plans addressable, not a re-platforming project. That's the same pattern behind each live connection below.
What is SPAI already connected to today?+
Live, validated integrations include:
- ASC Document System — ingests handwritten and typed ASC plan documents, AI extracts, validates, and auto-populates fields, and pushes a validated payload directly into ASC with no manual re-keying and a full initiator-approver audit trail.
- Voya — a live, validated API connection into Voya's recordkeeping platform. SinglepointAI is not affiliated with the Voya® family of companies.
- PensionPro network — integration live and validated day one, covering 300+ TPAs and 250,000+ retirement plans managed on the platform.
- ftwilliam.com documents — supported today alongside ASC.
Which document systems does SPAI support, and what's coming next?+
SPAI currently supports ftwilliam.com and ASC document formats for ingestion and understanding. Relius and Ascensus support is on the roadmap.
Security & compliance
Controls and isolation
Where is SPAI hosted, and how is data protected?+
SPAI runs on Azure. Security & Compliance is a first-class category in the platform's architecture alongside document ingestion, understanding, and field mapping — not an afterthought layered on top.
How is tenant data kept separate?+
Strict tenant-level data isolation is enforced throughout, including within AskSPIA, which runs in its own isolated Azure environment with no internet access and responds only to retirement-plan-related interactions.
Who has final say on what SPAI processes?+
People do. Every automated workflow pairs with maker/checker controls, exception review, and approval steps, so oversight sits with a firm's own staff, not with an unsupervised model.
Scaling & the network
Growth without linear headcount
How does connecting to SPAI help a firm scale?+
Plan volume growth has required proportional headcount growth. SPAI breaks that link by automating the manual data entry and validation work that consumes staff time, freeing skilled people to move from re-keying data toward higher-value sponsor advisory and insights work.
The future of retirement technology
Why now and what's next
Why is now the moment for this kind of infrastructure?+
Four forces are converging on an industry still running on fragmented, manual infrastructure:
- SECURE Act 2.0 / Cycle 4 — 73 provisions, auto-enrollment mandates, expanded eligibility, and new plan types; 550,000+1 401(k) plans must restate by September 2028.
- State-mandated retirement plans — 20+ states have enacted or are advancing mandatory workplace retirement coverage, driving a new wave of first-time small-plan onboarding.
- Deregulation and expansion pressure — policy signals toward expanded MEP/PEP structures, reduced fiduciary friction, and broader 401(k) access mean more plan types, more participants, more complexity.
- Limited experienced workforce — industry growth is outpacing the supply of experienced administrators, a challenge compounded by an aging workforce.
Four converging forces. One broken infrastructure. SPAI is the single compliance and data control layer engineered for the scale the industry now demands.
What's SPAI's long-term vision?+
A fully digital retirement ecosystem where recordkeepers, TPAs, advisors, and sponsors collaborate through a single secure, unified platform — with onboarding, data delivery, and restatement as the foundation for what comes next as the platform's scope expands.
Getting connected
Start the conversation
How does a firm get started with SPAI?+
Reach out to sales@singlepointai.com. Because SPAI connects at the API layer to systems firms already run, most conversations start with a firm's current recordkeeping, document, or practice management setup rather than a request to change it.
